CUT UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY
Cyprus University of Technology, established in 2007, is Cyprus’ youngest one of only two state funded Universities. CUT has achieved an exponential growth, international recognition and an impressive track record of research project grants from national and European sources. It was ranked by Times Higher Education at the top 401-500 Universities worldwide, and in 2017 it featured a 52nd place on the BRICS & Emerging Economies Rankings and 16th place amongst the top Best Small Universities by the same organization. It consists of 14 Departments in five Schools, one which is the School of Health Sciences. The Department of Nursing, School of Health Sciences is the largest Department by far. It is the national point of reference with regards to Nursing and Midwifery education. The Department of Nursing is very research-active and despite its short life, it has been very successful in attracting funding both from national (Cyprus RPF, MoH) as well as European sources (FP7, Life, DAPHNE, EEA Grants, JUSTICE, Erasmus, etc). With a high productivity of articles published in scientific peer reviewed journal, the Department has quickly established itself as a major national Research hub in the Health Sciences, alongside academic departments with much longer history.

Portincarers – Associação Cuidadores de Portugal
Cuidadores Portugal is a non-profitable multidisciplinary and independent organisation. Its main objective is to give Portuguese informal carers visibility and voice, at national and international level and to promote their quality of life. Cuidadores Portugal participates in the development of support services for the promotion of health and quality of life of informal carers. It collaborates with numerous partners and organisations, such as universities, municipalities, companies, associations and research centers at national and international level. It has recently participated in the Portuguese Government Consultation Group to propose protective social and health care legislation to promote Portuguese carers’ quality of life.

Europa Donna – Breast Cancer Forum
The European Breast Cancer Coalition is an independent, nonprofit organisation whose members are affiliated groups from countries throughout Europe. The Coalition works to raise awareness of breast cancer and to mobilise the support of European women in pressing for improved breast cancer education, appropriate screening, optimal treatment and care and increased funding for research. Europa Donna will bring its expertise on breast cancer prevention and will be involved in the need analysis and piloting.
